Club Meeting Sept. 4th – Rogue Retreat update w/CEO Sam Engel

Rogue Retreat – A Place to Call Home.

Sam Engel, CEO of Rogue Retreat, updated our club on the mission and progress of Rogue Retreat. Rogue Retreat coordinates with many organizations throughout the city, including the Livability team. The organization recognize that everyone has high points and low points in their life, and that these points are temporary. Rogue Retreat helps to provide hope to those at such a low point by providing shelter and connecting those in need with food, medical, clothing and medical sources, as well as mental health counseling, addiction services and assistance with job readiness.

Rogue Retreat works with 450 people daily and 1200 people annually and has a 65 – 70% success rate of moving individuals to the next level.

Rogue Retreat was founded in 1998.  Sam has been acting CEO since January of 2023 and was introduced by Mayor Sparacino.
