A busy weekend for Aki
June 1st and 2nd was a busy weekend for Aki. On Saturday, our exchange student, Akinouri “Aki” Oka, celebrated his graduation from South Medford High School. Oregon delivered beautiful weather for this memorable event. Congratulations Aki!
But Aki didn’t have much time to savor that achievement as the very next day Aki was busy preparing a huge meal for 17 guests in order to raise money for his end-of-year trip. Those attending were treated to a buffet-style Japanese dinner featuring homemade miso soup, panko battered pork cutlets with various sauces and mochi. And to top it off, mangoes and cherries for dessert.
