The Pack is Back!!!!

ACCESS Rogue Powerpack is back and in full swing. Last Friday, Oct. 11th, was the third pack of the ’24-25 school year. About 20 volunteers packed 691 bags for distribution at 24 local schools last week. Once the food is packed, additional volunteers then distribute the bags throughout the county.

The ACCESS Rogue Powerpack Program provides bags of nutritious, child-friendly food to elementary school children who are receiving free breakfast or lunch at school during the week, but may lack adequate food at home over the weekend. Bags are filled every Friday to ensure they do not go hungry while away from school.

Many of Southern Oregon’s Rotary Clubs’ members regularly assist with the pack. Twelve local club volunteers packed last Friday including members of the Medford Club (6 volunteers), Medford Rogue (4), Ashland Lithia Springs (1) and the Bear Creek Valley Club (1).
