” Flu Shots Again ” – Dr. Bud Bergstrom
As predicted, the current flu season has thus far been much worse than
usual, & it is expected to continue for at least several more weeks –
likely at least partly due to this year’s flu virus consisting of two
new strains of the virus. The good news – this year’s vaccine contains
both strains. More good news – it’s not too late to get the vaccine (
if you already received it, there is no need to have a second dose ).
Although the vaccine is only approx. 50% effective in preventing the
flu, you will almost certainly have a significantly milder illness
should you contract the illness.
