Are You Interested in Contributing to World Peace? New Committee Forming!
Peace is a foundational area of focus for Rotary everywhere. In joining a rising Rotary agenda of Peace on Earth by 2030, Medford Rogue Rotary has formed a Peace Team (committee). Its first meeting is this Wednesday, immediately following the club meeting at RVCC. Join Linda Brown and Greg Jones as we have an initial conversation about what our Rotary members can DO for peace! There are many topics and activities to explore: Peace Poles and the Oregon Peace Trail, the Peace Game, member training in the online Rotary Academy, a robust and state approved program involving high school students (interact club) showing elementary students the principles of Rotary, the Rotary Action Group for Peace, and of course the Peace Institute with seven worldwide centers for training.
“As a Rotarian peace activist, I learned through playing the Peace Game that I could do far more to build world peace than I had been doing. Playing the Peace Game is one of the most important activities we can do to create peace in our lives and communities.” — Al Jubitz, Co-founder Rotary Action Group for Peace and President of the Jubitz Family Foundation
