MRR In Action!
A Little Paint, A Lot of Teamwork, and a Lasting Impact!
Twenty-four Medford Rogue Rotary members, friends, and family came together the weekend of October 9th to transform an outdoor space at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School into a colorful new sensory path! Over three days, volunteers prepped, stenciled, and painted a 60-by-20-foot area filled with hopscotch, animal walks, stepping stones, balance challenges, and other fun activities.
But this is more than just a fun playground addition! The sensory path is designed to help students take movement breaks, regulate their emotions, refocus, and return to learning. It’s also something all students can enjoy during recess.
A HUGE thank-you to Kellie Hill for coordinating this project and to every volunteer who gave their time to make it happen!
Sometimes making a difference means picking up a paintbrush, getting a little messy, and creating something that will bring joy to students for years to come.
