Club Meeting September 11- RCC Community Update

Dr. Randy Weber On September 11th, Dr. Randy Weber from RCC shared with Medford Rogue Rotarians how the community college is doing since the pandemic. He shared that enrollment numbers are slowing returning at about 75% of pre-pandemic numbers.  Stating that economic factors play a large roll in their enrollments since RCC has several courses that give professional continued education training and often fill up when the economy is bad, and workers are looking to add skills.  This has been a factor recently as the economy has pushed workers into seeking out higher wages.  Randy went on to share some of the changes happening at each of the 3 campuses.  Highlighting a new space that is being renovated at the Redwood campus to include skilled nursing courses.  RCC prides itself on communicating with the local businesses and aligning courses to support educating workers to fill the needs. Helping to keep workers local and businesses competitive.
