Dolly Parton Imagination Library Fundraiser a huge success

The Books Make Better Futures Luncheon was a tremendous success! With approximately 175 attendees, the event was filled with energy and support for Dolly Parton Imagination Library, a cause that is more vital than ever. The Hedrick Middle School choir’s performance was simply beautiful, and Dr. Bret Champion’s infectious enthusiasm truly brought the spirit of the event to life, making the ask both inspiring and impactful. It was also a pleasure to have Kaylee and Laurie from Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Oregon join us—they seemed incredibly pleased to see such strong support in the room.

Over $80,000 was raised for DPIL, and our Medford Rogue Rotary Club’s $5,000 challenge grant was easily matched – and surpassed – by other Rotary Clubs in Southern Oregon.

  • Individual donations totaled $21,638.74
  • So we successfully met the $20,000 match from our anonymous donor!
  • The Dubs Foundation generously contributed $25,000 to the project today.
  • Sponsorships came in at an impressive $20,450!

Many thanks to the fifteen Rotarians from our club who attended the event, particularly to Phil Meyer for Emceeing, Kari May for speaking, John VanSickle for providing technical support, and Cam McCandless and Rachel Torres for being Table Captains.
