Last November, Paul Westhelle, executive director at Jefferson Public Radio, was one of our guest speakers and gave a great presentation our club. At the close of his presentation, he extended an offer of our Rotary members possibly touring the JPR operation in Ashland.
We are taking him up on this and are offering our members an opportunity to tour JPR on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 (the third Wednesday and a non-club meeting day). We will meet at 5:00pm at the JPR Studios on Mountain Avenue in Ashland. Off-street parking is available across the street.
Paul Westhelle will give us a tour of the radio station and its new building, and we will meet afterward in the recording studio and have a discussion with the JPR news director and a couple JPR reporters. Refreshments will be provided and as well as an opportunity to discuss news reporting and JPR coverage. The tour is expected to run until 6:15 or 6:30 depending on how many questions we have.
We only have room for 12-15 Rotarians.
