Medford Air Tanker Base

Ben Crittenden – Assistant Airtanker Base Manager shares the details and key elements of a collaborative wildfire protection strategy developed in partnership with local, state and federal agencies. The Medford Airtanker Base boosts firefighting capabilities across five counties—Jackson, Josephine, Coos, Curry, and Douglas—ensuring our communities are better equipped to tackle wildfires. Oregon Department of Forestry provides staffing and trained seasonal employees. It’s great to know we have our very own Medford Air Tanker Base here enhancing local firefighting capabilities.
