In 2024, Medford Rogue Rotary was the lead club, along with two other District 5110 clubs, in planning, fundraising, and the installation of 300 water filtration systems in a remote area of Puerto Rico where few people have potable water available in their homes. It was heartwarming to meet the people of the Yabucoa area and see the strength of their community spirit. Generous in-kind donations were made of educational supplies for students, computers, tablets, gardening tools, and a large screen TV for community education programs.

From 2016-2019, Medford Rogue Rotary was very active in the Lake Atitlan area of Guatemala, improving the health of indigenous families by installing nearly 500 water systems, assembling and installing dozens of clean wood-burning stoves. Financial support was provided for the building of a greatly needed medical clinic, expansion to a primary school, as well as years of scholarships provided for students to continue their education.

Dozens of Rotarians were involved in these projects providing hundreds of water systems for over 5 years, before and after COVID.
