The Medford Rogue Rotary Club launched a Peace Initiative as part of Rotary International’s global commitment to advancing peace by 2030. Through the formation of a dedicated Peace Team, the club explored practical, action-oriented ways Rotarians can contribute to peace at the local and global level. The project introduced members to a range of peace-building opportunities, including Peace Poles and the Oregon Peace Trail, the Peace Game, Rotary Peace Academy training, youth-led programs connecting Interact and elementary students, engagement with the Rotary Action Group for Peace, and awareness of Rotary Peace Centers worldwide. This initiative laid the groundwork for ongoing education, community involvement, and meaningful action in support of peace.
