The 4-Way Speech contest was held at the District Conference this past weekend and all three finalists were absolutely awesome making the job of the three judges very difficult. After a long deliberation by the judges, Freddy Saxton, the emcee and President of the Newport Club, announced Madelena Batista, representing our Medford Rogue Rotary Club, as winning the $3500 first place prize.  The topic of Madelena’s speech was the Importance of Affordable Access to Knowledge. This is the third year in a row that the winner of the District 4-Way Speech Contest was representing our club.

In second place was Kelana Dachri, representing the Eugene Delta Club, with a great speech focused on Access to Education. Hailey Dinger, representing the Greater Albany Club, delivered a thoughtful speech on Pursuing Your Passion in Your Studies.

Congratulations to all three students for an exceptional job.
