Gratitude, by Rita Sullivan
There is a simple practice that yields huge benefits for relatively little effort…. the making of a gratitude list. Being grateful for the positives in your life can have a profound impact on your mood, outlook and overall wellbeing. This can be as simple as writing a few sentences each night about what you are grateful for. List what gifts you received during the day. Gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with happiness because creating a gratitude list causes you to think about what you are grateful for…. what you have rather than what you don’t have. Giving thanks can make you happy – it is a simple as that.
