Committee Spotlight on WCS 🌎
At a recent meeting, the World Community Service (WCS) Committee shared inspiring stories about Rotary’s international impact—and reminded us how service abroad also transforms us at home.
During the meeting, members raised over $1,000 in support of WCS through the sergeants’ program, demonstrating the generosity and commitment of our club.
Speakers reflected on their own travel experiences:

Meeting people from different countries and honoring the shared humanity we all hold.

Building friendships and deepening fellowship with fellow Rotarians while traveling.

Learning lessons of gratitude and perspective—especially for younger participants—about how service to others can relieve suffering and open eyes to the privileges we often take for granted.
As one member shared, “My Rotary moment was on a WCS trip—it’s what turned me from just being in a club to truly becoming a Rotarian.”
Upcoming Travel Opportunities
Looking ahead, there are several ways members can get involved in hands-on service internationally:

Retalhuleu, Guatemala – March 25–30, 2026: Support student education, deliver food bags, and assist with school repairs.

Cozumel Island, Mexico – Nov–Jan (flexible dates): Work with local students and families on nutritional gardening projects.

Guadalajara, Mexico – Jan 31–Feb 7, 2026: Join 30+ Rotarians in diverse projects ranging from school repairs to medical clinics.
