Keep Them Warm So They Can Perform!
Last week, we asked Rotarians to help provide snacks for students at Innovation Academy. This week, we’re adding another important need: clothing!Innovation Academy has grown into a thriving high school, and Medford Rogue Rotary has a long history of supporting its students, including creating the original Tiger Den. Now we have another opportunity to make a difference.
Principal Cass Thonstad tells us that students especially appreciate PLAIN hoodies and jeans. New or lightly used clothing is welcome, and remember, these are high school students who come in all sizes and are picky about what they wear!
Here’s what students need:
-
PLAIN hoodies and jeans — our top priorities!
-
Lightly used shoes, particularly sports shoes
-
Coats
-
Scarves, hats, and gloves
-
Other current teen style winter clothing: Sweaters, shirts, dresses, socks
-
Umbrellas for students walking or waiting for the bus
All clothing should be clean and in good condition. And don’t forget individually packaged, grab-and-go snacks!
Our challenge: Every Rotarian brings at least ONE item! Whether it’s a new hoodie, a pair of jeans, or a box of snacks, your contribution will help students feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.
Bring your donations to our November 4 or November 11 club meetings. Please take items upstairs and place them by the badge box. For larger quantities, leave them in your car and bring them to the lobby entrance after the meeting.
Let’s keep these students warm so they can perform! Go Tigers!
