What started as a little friendly competition turned into a lot of laughs, a little trash talk, and most importantly, support for a great cause.

In the championship match, Argentina faced Spain in a defensive battle that ended with Spain claiming a 1-0 victory. That meant congratulations are in order for Paul Christy and Pat Barry, our World Cup Squares champions! 🎉

Meanwhile, Kellie Hill and Nancy Walden are still wondering where Argentina’s offense disappeared to… 😉

Now, some people might point out that one of the organizers somehow ended up winning. Coincidence? We report, you decide. Considering FIFA’s long and colorful history, perhaps it’s only fitting that our own World Cup fundraiser concluded with just a hint of “controversy.” Rest assured, The Four-Way Test has been invoked, and a full (mostly imaginary) investigation is underway. 😄
