Medford Rogue Rotary Club Meeting Recap – May 28

We were honored to welcome Lee Winslow, Medford Unit Forester with the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF), as our weekly presenter. Lee shared how ODF serves as Oregon’s wildfire protection agency, declaring fire season annually in each district and protecting both private and BLM land.
Focusing on the Southwest Oregon District, which includes Jackson and Josephine counties, Lee spoke about managing 1.8 million acres locally. He provided valuable insights on local wildfire resources, the impact of the 2024 fire season, and what we can expect in the year ahead.
Thank you, Lee, for your important work and for keeping our communities informed and protected!
