Thank you “Winter in Candyland” volunteers
“Winter in Candyland”, one of our club’s two annual Signature Events, was bigger and better than ever this year and that doesn’t happen without a lot the support of a lot of people. This was our second year partnering with the Family Nurturing Center to offer this free event to the community.
Twenty-seven club members volunteered for this year’s event. Many of our club’s volunteers worked multiple shifts and multiple days helping to set-up for the event, staff the various positions during the event, and assist with tear-down. Just to mention a few, our many volunteers included past-president Kellie Hill reprising her role as Queen Frostine this year, greeting the almost 4000 guests as they entered the Candyland Village over the two-day event. Not to be outdone, Paul Christy donned the King Candy costume to say thank you to guests as their visit wound down and offering another opportunity for family photos.
Thank you to all our club members, and friends of our club, who gave their time and energy to make this event a success again this year.
