May Club Business

At this month’s club business meeting, the Medford Rogue Rotary Club focused on membership growth, financial stewardship, community impact, and strategic planning for the future.

A few highlights from the update:

• Our “In the Bag” membership initiative continues encouraging members to invite guests and introduce new people to Rotary service and fellowship. The club’s goal is for 75% of members to bring a guest during the year.

• Rotary Foundation giving remains strong:

  • Annual Fund: $16,385 raised, reaching 82% of the $20,000 goal
  • PolioPlus Fund: $4,347 raised, reaching 87% of the $5,000 goal

• The Dolly Parton Imagination Library partnership continues making a huge impact in Jackson County:

  • 4,850 children currently enrolled
  • Ranked #4 in Oregon
  • 19,388 books mailed in the first quarter of 2026 alone
  • More than 2,500 children have graduated from the program since 2023

We also reviewed progress on our 2024-2027 Strategic Plan, including goals around:
• Expanding member engagement and fellowship
• Growing community partnerships
• Improving communication and technology tools
• Increasing awareness of club projects and services
• Strengthening signature events like Pickleball Fest and Winter in Candyland

The momentum continues as we work toward our vision of becoming one of the most effective and engaged civic clubs in Oregon through service, fellowship, and community leadership. Rotary never really sits still… and honestly, that’s part of the fun.
