Youth Exchange Students shine at District Conference

Our exchange student, Nathalya de Castro Dobrowolski (Nahti), along with twenty-seven of her peers from across the district, was in attendance in Grants Pass last weekend at the District Conference. The students brought a great deal of positive energy to the event with several also participating in a talent show. Two of the students delivered a special treat playing the national anthem on the trumpet and trombone while the conference attendees sang along.  At Saturday night’s dinner the students each sat at different tables allowing Rotarians to get to know them better and learn more about their experiences over the past year.

Emcee Kingsley Kelley tapped into the high energy of the students frequently engaging them into rounds of applause in support of his jokes and magic tricks.

If there was an award for best decorated exchange student jacket Nahti would have won hands down! Of course, we may be a little bit biased.
